Online Psychological Counseling for Panic Attacks
A panic attack can be a very frightening experience, even though it is usually not dangerous to have a panic attack. A panic attack can occur suddenly and without obvious causes. This is exactly why many of my online clients are reporting psychological anxiety about fear of another panic attack. It is a vicious circle that is hard to leave alone.
Normally, panic attacks strike without any real danger and the symptoms are similar to a state of mental and physical distress: rapid heartbeat, sweating, shaking, dizziness, nausea, chest pain, shortness of breath, fear of losing control, fear of dying…
If you have experienced these symptoms more than once and are worried about reliving them, you should consult a doctor or psychologist for psychological support. Panic attacks alone are difficult to treat and left untreated, they can expand and develop into a panic disorder.
Sometimes panic attacks can also be caused by a thyroid problem or other medical problems. It is always a good idea to consult a doctor to take a blood test and other medical evaluations. On the other hand, psychological counseling for panic attacks is a very effective method, as the causes are usually due to high stress, unresolved problems or deeper existential fears.
Only when we are no longer afraid do we begin to live.
Panic Attacks and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
Psychological online counseling generally proves to be very effective against panic attacks. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is a pioneer in western psychotherapy and I use some of the methods and techniques to treat your panic attacks.
The first goal of this approach is to learn to reduce anxiety in the event of a future panic attack. A panic attack in itself is not dangerous, the danger comes more from the psychological side effects. Frequent panic attacks can be a serious burden on life and everyday coping.
After a first workout to reduce anxiety and learn to relax, many of my clients already report fewer panic attacks and better coping strategies for panic. On this basis, we can begin to work out the root causes of your panic.
The causes of panic attacks cannot be called blanket. They differ from person to person.
Therefore, together we will look at your life story and experiences to explore where there may be unresolved issues or hidden fears. In general, an unresolved fear of death can be a powerful factor in the development of panic attacks.

Panic Attacks, Mindfulness and Buddhist Psychology
The traditional practices of Buddhism can be very helpful and inspiring for the treatment of panic attacks. Through meditation techniques you can create a higher awareness of your body and your inner feelings. With a careful examination of your breath and your body, you can gain a deeper insight into yourself: If you remove any external distractions from your environment and focus on your inner self, then the question is, “How do you really feel?”
How does your life feel right now? Are you happy?
Are there situations that you avoid?
Panic attacks can shake your entire idea of life, death and the meaning of life.
Depending on what we find together, we can use the Buddhist wisdom to get an idea of why we are alive and how we face our suffering and death to live a meaningful and happy life.
